Santorini Island, a dream to reality. Before, I was just seeing pictures of friends who travelled in this amazing island but luckily we managed to experience and explore this beauty. I can say that it is one of the best places that I have ever been.It was ridiculously gorgeous, beyond words.
It was my first time to travel abroad by late night,we left London Heathrow Airport around 11pm and we arrived in Santorini Island at 6am. Seemed like everything fall into place. While on the plane and about to landing in Santorini’s Thira Airport, just a perfect timing because I captured the sunrise opposite side of the paradise.
We stayed in Alti Santotini Suites, awarded as #2 of 7 best hotels in Megalochori area of the island. The location of the hotel is quite secluded and peaceful especially if you dont want to see tourists hoovering around. It was a perfect hotel, just perfect. From getting up on our first morning to enjoy a fantastic breakfast on our balcony and taking in the fabulous 180 degree view of the sea and also to watching the breathtaking sunset in the evening.
Oia, a must see on Santorini. The sunset in Oia was one of the “must do things when in Santorini and in Oia”. It is one of the most breathtaking sights of a sunset one could see especially on summer times (June-July-August). Make sure you book a table in one the restaurants in advance to have the spot to witness the sunset.
